Fujitsu, in its ongoing Tokyo forum 2018 event, shows home developed deep learning chip DLU and acceleration card. Fujitsu says the DLU acceleration card supports NVIDIA's CUDA framework, and DLU can be used for CUDA without modification, and Fujitsu says DLU acceleration cards can be the best alternative to GPU acceleration cards. Fujitsu said the DLU will be launched early next year. In 2016, Fujitsu had news that it was going to develop chips dedicated to AI. It was understood that the technology used by DLU was used in the supercomputer "Beijing", and Fujitsu was redesigned for deep learning.
Compared with traditional architecture, DLU adopts New ISA architecture instead of generic core architecture, and at the same time optimization can greatly reduce power consumption.
